WE ARE HIRING: Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial reporting, audits, and compliance while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all finance operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong audit and financial management experience, ERP knowledge, and the ability to support business decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for presentation to the Board of Directors.
• Lead annual statutory audits and collaborate with internal auditors.
• Prepare standard and ad-hoc management accounts to support informed decision-making.
• Manage working capital, including foreign currency exposure.
• Implement finance policies, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee accounts payable and collaborate with cross-functional teams for process alignment.
• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Liaise with tax authorities and oversee tax computations.
• Conduct financial modeling and investment evaluations.
• Support cost optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Knowledge of financial derivatives and hedging transactions is an advantage.

Requirements:

• Partly qualified in CIMA / ACCA / ICASL / CMA.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, including audits.
• Prior experience with a firm of chartered accountants is an added advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles.
• Proficiency in ERP finance systems (preferably SAP B1).
• Experience in the manufacturing industry, factory management, or export trade is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing near Pannala.
