Role Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and creative Assistant Brand Manager to become a core part of the team driving our influential media brands forward. This role isn't just about products—it's about connecting with an entire nation. You will be actively involved in executing marketing campaigns, analyzing reader insights, and supporting product development to ensure our brands remain the top choice for news and content across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Campaign Execution

• Execute integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, and social media channels to drive readership, subscription growth, and brand visibility.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Editorial, Circulation, Advertising) and external agencies to ensure campaigns are deployed accurately and on time.
• Manage promotional materials, media buying, and production schedules for assigned brands.

Performance Analysis and Insights

• Conduct regular performance analysis of marketing activities, focusing on key metrics like readership, circulation figures, web traffic, and social engagement.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and brand positioning.
• Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing campaign effectiveness, providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations to the Brand Manager.

Content and Product Support

• Support the strategic development of brand extensions, digital offerings, and new print concepts to meet evolving consumer needs.
• Act as a brand guardian, ensuring consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging across all touchpoints.

Budget and Administration

• Assist in the effective management of the marketing budget, ensuring cost-efficient campaign execution.
• Handle administrative tasks related to vendor management, invoicing, and contract management.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, or Trade Marketing, ideally gained within the Media, FMCG, or Retail sectors.
• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and practical experience with digital marketing and social media platforms.
• Attributes: High level of creativity, energy, and a passion for media. Must be a self-starter who can handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced news environment.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate brand vision and campaign performance clearly.
