Qualifications:

• A degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Management/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Economics/ Law from a recognized university/ MBA from a recognized university.  
• Preference would be given to the candidates with full qualifications in Banking & Finance.  
• Certification in banking regulatory compliance is preferred. 

Experience: 

Minimum 10 years of experience in Banking, out of which 05 years as a Compliance Officer/ in the field of Compliance at a senior level, in a reputed Bank/ Financial Institution.

Age: 

Below 45 years

Job Profile:  

• Ensure that the Bank remains compliant with all regulatory requirements applicable to the banking sector, advise management on relevant rules, regulations, and standards, and keep them informed of any regulatory developments.  
• Maintain consistent communication and a strong professional relationship with the regulators.  
• Proactively participate in regulatory change initiatives and provide leadership to ensure that the Bank meets all regulatory expectations.  
• Carry out reviews at appropriate intervals to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.  
• Monitor the compliance status/ follow-up reports related to CBSL on-site examinations in a timely manner.  
• Represent the Compliance function on relevant internal committees, highlight serious or persistent compliance issues, and ensure their timely rectification.  
• Serve as the central point of contact for all stakeholders on compliance-related matters.  
• Ensure early involvement in the design and structuring of new products and systems, and confirm that they comply with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.  
• Perform regular and comprehensive risk assessments and testing of the Bank’s compliance framework.  
• Establish and implement compliance-related policies and procedures.  
• Assess internal policies, procedures and guidelines to proactively identify deficiencies, recommend corrective measures, and keep management informed.  
• Perform AML compliance functions and implement AML policies and processes.  
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports to the Regulator and Head Office.  
• Monitor all customer transactions, filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) when required.  
• Conduct awareness programs for new recruits, update compliance-related policies and new guidelines for staff reference and deliver compliance training to staff members.
