IT Technician (GRADE IV) – Airport & Aviation Services Limited
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the right attitudes to fill the following vacancies at Bandaranaike International Airport
Job Scope:
- Under the supervision of the System /Network Administrator, responsible for the efficient & overall maintenance of the Electronics system, communication apparatus & equipment. Responsible for System/Network Administrator for the efficient & overall maintenance of the Electronic apparatus and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. PCB-Level Repairs & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose faults in PCBs using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers and other test equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty components of circuit boards Perform soldering and disordering (through-hole & surface mount technology – SMD)
- Identify and troubleshoot electronic/IT systems Read and interpret circuit diagrams, schematics and datasheets.
- Test repaired PCBs to ensure proper functionality.
2. Software-Related Repairs & Configuration
- Install, update and configure embedded system software and firmware.
- Diagnose and repair firmware corruption issues on electronic devices.
- Troubleshoot communication interfaces.
- Debug software-related issues using diagnostic tools and programming interfaces.
3. General Technical & Maintenance Duties
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and component replacements.
- Provide technical support Follow safety protocols while handling Low-voltage and sensitive electronics.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in electronics and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
- Should possess a relevant Diploma/Certificate equivalent to NVQ Level 5 in an institute recognized by T.V.E.C.
AND
- Should possess 3 years of post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.
Salary Scale:
- The selectees will receive an attractive remuneration. In addition to that, the selectees will receive attractive fringe benefits.
Age Limit:
- Below 35 years on the closing date of applications.

- Practical test and an Interview.
