Associate Agile Coach – Delivery Excellence

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently on the lookout for a Associate Agile Coach to join our Delivery Excellence team which is responsible for defining Delivery Excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of Agile delivery to collaborate, lead change, and inspire teams towards excellence in delivery within an agile environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

-Helping teams to “be more agile” rather than “do agile” by being an advocate for Agile and DevOps 
-Directly working with the Senior Manager – Delivery Excellence to define, design and implement an organization-wide Agile improvements strategy 
-Assisting teams with adhering to Agile practices by performing periodic checks based on assessing Agile maturity and publishing the same to measure improvement over time 
-Observe teams by getting hands on in the team agile ceremonies, agile artifacts in Jira etc to arrive at identifying potential areas for improvements 
-Focus on coaching rather than simply solving team issues and challenges, this will include facilitation of workshops and brainstorming sessions. 
-Act as a SME on Scrum, Kanban, SAFE and other agile methodologies to help teams adopt the best practices for enterprise software development 
-Run time bound agile coaching engagements with eligible teams requiring coaching, showing OKR or measurable results where possible 
-Lead change and inspire teams to change their mindset and perform a culture shift to build better collaboration within and between teams. 
-Supporting running training programs on Agile across the organization 


REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be passionate about delivery excellence within software development, and able to support teams to deliver greater value for Sysco with high productivity and quality 
-A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification with 5+ years of industry experience working in Agile software development environment 
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Project Manager role with hands on experience playing a Scrum Master role 
-Expert knowledge in Agile methodologies and practices (eg; Scrum, Kanban) 
-Strong knowledge of software engineering and testing principles, and high analytical and problem-solving capabilities 
-Hands-on experience in JIRA 
-Professional certifications such as PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, A-CSM. 
-Coaching certifications such as ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, CTC would be advantageous. 
-Prior experience coaching in one or more organizations, contributing to significant improvements in self-managed agile teams through coaching techniques would be an added advantage. 
-Demonstrating awareness of the difference between coaching and consulting and when to use which, also having facilitated workshops to scrum teams as part of coaching engagements 
-Experience in championing causes and being a change agent 
-The ability to collaboratively work across different teams and influencing without authority
