Job Description

IFS Academy is on the lookout for a dynamic and open-minded undergraduate student to join us as an Undergraduate Trainee - Software Engineer.
As an Undergraduate Trainee Software Engineer in the IFS Academy team, you’ll be responsible for delivering quality software by applying sound development practices and leveraging industry standard development methodology. Based on requirements and functionality specifications from the stakeholders, you will develop software solutions and automations as they relate to our IFS Academy delivery operations. You will work with full stack development (both back-end and front-end components), to design and build solutions to address the requirements of IFS Academy.
In order to join the IFS Academy in IFS Global Customer Services as an Undergraduate Trainee Software Engineer, you need to be good at listening and communicating, and sharing knowledge and experience. If you consider yourself as a person that is proactive, who takes initiative and responsibility, who gets excited by opportunities to learn, who has interest in understanding our customer needs and designing and building solutions in addressing those, we want to hear from you.
An undergraduate software engineer is expected to consistently develop high-quality software solutions by:
-Analyzing and interpreting the requirements to fulfill the domain (IFS Academy training delivery operations) needs.
-Applying the best software engineering and architectural concepts. 
-Ensuring product performance and maintainability by adhering to software engineering standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.
-Performing comprehensive testing and documentation activities.
-Actively participating in communication with stakeholders to ensure the solution is fit-for-purpose.
-Learn and work on or support the Developer Operations (DevOps) and Technical Administration tasks for Databases, Virtual Machines, Cloud platforms and other tools.
-Learn and maintaining a very good understanding of the continuously evolving software development process, frameworks and tools used at IFS and in industry.
-Keeping up to date on emerging software engineering concepts and practices.

Qualifications

-An undergraduate of a recognized degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
-A good understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented concepts, relational databases, web technologies, DevOps technologies, software architectures and programming languages.
-Knowledge of one or more of Oracle, Java/JEE, C#/.NET, JavaScript Frameworks such as AngularJS, and Containers (Docker and Kubernetes)
-Knowledge in Software Engineering best practices and Agile SDLC.
-The ability to work in a distributed Global team setup.
-Good command of English and communication skills.
-Ability to understand, summarize and present information in a clear and concise manner.
