Job Summary:

The Software Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development and delivery of software projects. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

 


Key Responsibilities:

-Develop and maintain a program and project management framework aligned with organizational goals. Drive strategic planning and execution of related projects to achieve program goals.
-Lead and mentor project managers, project coordinators, and cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative culture.
-Act as the primary contact for senior stakeholders, including executives and clients.
-Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure program alignment.
-Efficiently allocate resources across multiple teams. Optimize resource utilization to meet program demands and ensure timely delivery.
-Must actively engage at the operational level when required, to ensure successful delivery and seamless operations.
-Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability. 
-Identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks. Implement risk management strategies to minimize impacts on objectives.
-Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
-Coordinate and integrate interdependent projects. Monitor progress, resolve conflicts, and manage interdependencies.
-Develop and execute change management plans for smooth transitions and adoption of deliverables. 
-Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor performance. 
-Provide detailed operational reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and areas requiring attention.
-Lead post-program evaluations and lessons learned sessions. 
-Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
-Establish governance structures for effective management.
-Champion the adoption of new technologies and tools that enhance project management efficiencies.

 


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Master’s degree preferred. PMP, PgMP, MSP, or equivalent certification(s) required.
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in project or program management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
-Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex programs on time and within budget.
-In-depth understanding of program and project management methodologies, including agile frameworks.
-Proficiency in software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
-Experience in stakeholder management and building strong professional relationships.
-Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
-Strong strategic planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to handle conflict and resolve issues effectively.
-High level of emotional intelligence and ability to manage stress.
-Ability to lead and inspire teams towards a common goal.
-Experience in managing programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
-Familiarity with enterprise-level project management tools and practices.
-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
-Experience in business development and strategic planning.
