Senior Executive - Technical - Operations - MAS Kreeda Balangoda

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to ensure manufacturability of new products is seamlessly integrated to manufacturing without technical-related downtime, whilst proactively engaging in technical problem-solving initiatives working in collaboration with all those in the value stream (from customer interface to manufacturing) to support the achievement of set technical and customer expectations within the stipulated timeframe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate and conduct the pre-production meeting for new styles and ensure effective transfer of all technical information [CTQ/CTP, Techpack details, etc.] to production and other relevant teams.
• Oversee and ensure Techpack and patterns are accurately modified based on the conclusion of Factory integration.
• Coordinate with the PPA champion and plan all types of samples that should be done by technical teams during the PPA/NPI process steps to understand the manufacturability of the product and follow up sample making with the Garment technician to deliver customer-approved samples in the stipulated timeframe and parameter.
• Prior to conclusion, proactively engage with all stakeholders to validate the final decisions that enhance the outcome/ product technicality.
• Oversee and participate in the fit sessions and ensure adhere to the fit protocols.
• Follow up with production and engage in technical problem-solving initiatives by utilizing plants technical know-how to ensure continuous production and achievement of key KPIs.
• Facilitate the cost verification process through PLM and ensure trim consumption is timely verified. Lead techpack coordinators and ensure on-time submission of Scorecard through PLM.
• Ensure and maintain an Accurate and updated database of technical information [techpack/patterns] and facilitate manufacturing teams through readily available information.
• Together with acquiring Technical know-how, timely communication of the changes to all stakeholders [Seasonal update from customer, changes and improvements in methods] so as to ensure the teams have timely and accurate information at any given point in time.
• Drive cost improvement initiatives or Kaizens related to SMV and material consumption.
• Train, develop and guide Executives or staff grade employees on related activities such that they have the right capabilities to achieve set objectives.
• Drive required Performance improvement projects and use MOS principals in day-to-day activities to ensure that the Technical team members are aligned with the Lean Manufacturing Principles practiced as Organizational standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree/ National Diploma in Textile from a relevant institute.
• 2 - 3 years of work experience in Production or Work-Study.
• Good communication skills and analytical skills.
