Job Role 

HNB is strengthening its enterprise data capabilities through the continued expansion of its Centre of Excellence for Data and Advanced Analytics. As part of this growth, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Data Platform and Architecture function. 

The Data Platform Architect will drive the design, development and evolution of the Bank's enterprise data platform strategy and own and lead the data engineering and architecture pillar of the CoE. The role provides leadership in building the Bank's data platform as an enterprise-wide data landscape, designed to drive innovation and establish an agile ecosystem aligned with the data and technology roadmap. It ensures the platform supports strategic business initiatives, advanced analytics, Innovations, AI/ML, and enterprise BI requirements, while embedding strong data governance practices. The role will report directly to the Chief Data Officer. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Drive the Bank's enterprise data platform strategy. providing leadership to ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities for all data types, including structured, unstructured, and streaming. 
• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise data platforms, establishing standards, integration practices, and guidelines to ensure consistencу. reliability, and performance across all systems. 
• Oversee data engineering processes and platform optimization to ensure efficient, high-performance data processing and integration across the enterprise. 
• Create an enterprise-wide data platform as a landscape that drives innovation, supports advanced analytics, AI/ML, and Bl requirements, and enables an agile technology ecosystem. 
• Embed data governance practices into the platform, ensuring adherence to security, regulatory, and quality standards for all data types. 
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and data governance functions to ensure the platform meets enterprise-wide requirements and supports strategic initiatives. 
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to create a flexible, future-ready data platform ecosystem. 
• Guide and mentor platform teams, promoting skills development, knowledge sharing, and adherence to architecture principles

Educational Qualifications: 

• Master's Degree in Information Technology/Data Engineering/ Computer Science or a related field
• A professional certification, such as Certified Data Management Professional, Certification in Data Engineering. Data Platform Data Architect or a related field will be an added advantage.

Work Experience: 

• A minimum of 8 years of work experience in the field of Data, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Computer Science or related fields 
• Experience in leading or mentoring data engineering teams, platform architect initiative or enterprise data projects will also be an added advantage.
