We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intern - QA Engineer to join our growing team working on a cutting-edge healthcare platform. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, security, and compliance of our web and mobile applications and APIs that power vital healthcare services for patients, doctors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and API components.
• Perform functional testing (manual and automated) to verify features against requirements and user stories.
• Conduct non-functional testing including performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or similar issue trackers.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into the deployment process.
• Contribute to continuous improvements of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Support production deployments and perform post-release validation as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• hands-on experience in QA for web, mobile apps, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
• Experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is an advantage.
• Understanding of secure testing practices, especially in healthcare or other regulated industries.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing healthcare applications or working with healthcare data and compliance standards.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge for test automation frameworks.
