Zonal Education Director – Department of Education of Central Province 

• Inviting applications for the posts of Zonal Education Directors in the Matale, Galewela, Nuwara Eliya, Naula and Hanguranketha Educational Zones of the Central Provincial Education Department.
• Applications are invited from Grade I officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service for the posts of Zonal Education Directors in the Matale, Galewela, Nuwara Eliya, Naula and Hanguranketha Educational Zones of the Central Provincial Education Department.

  Qualifications: 

1. Should be a Grade I officer of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service.
2. Should not have been convicted of an offence under Schedule I or II of Part II of the Establishments Code within the previous 5/7/10 years or should not be subject to any disciplinary action or be subject to such action.
3. Must have earned the salary increments as prescribed within 05 years preceding the closing date for receipt of applications and must have completed a satisfactory period of service.
4. Must have fulfilled all the above qualifications for recruitment to the post as on the date of calling for applications.
5. If an officer is currently serving as the Zonal Director of Education in the Central Province, he/she must have completed a minimum of three (3) years of service in that post.

  Note:

• Certified photocopies of all educational and other certificates in support of qualifications, photocopies of National Identity Card and Birth Certificate should be attached with the application.

  Selection Method:

• By means of marks awarded in an interview conducted by an interview board nominated by the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Central Province (the relevant marking procedure is attached as Annexure 02).

 Submission of Applications:

• All applications should be duly and correctly completed and should be prepared by the Head of the Department in accordance with the attached specimen application form and sent by registered post to the address "Secretary, Ministry of Education, Central Provincial Council Complex, Pallekele." The envelope containing the applications should be superscribed on the top left corner as "Calling for applications for the posts of Zonal Education Directors in the Matale, Galewela, Nuwara Eliya, Naula and Hanguranketha Educational Zones of the Central Provincial Education Department."  Applications received after the due date and applications received from those who do not meet the qualifications as of the closing date for applications will be rejected. The Central Provincial Ministry of Education will not accept any complaints regarding the loss or delay of applications.
