Assistant Manager(Printing)-MAS Intimates Ratmalana

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the MAS Intimates, Ratmalana as Assistant Manager – Printing to manage & be responsible for the printing operations & Risk analyze of the embellishment department and guide the team through the embellishment developments whilst ensuring the embellishment standards of the organization meet customer requirements in terms of accuracy and quality.

 

Skill and Competencies

 

  • Organizational Strategy- Follow up the long-term objectives those were shared by department head or leadership with subordinates and align them to achieve company objectives.
  • Printing sample development- Oversee the printing process and ensure that all printed panels meet the required Customer standards by performing the following tasks:
  • Printing Bulk Execution- Work on initiatives such as the following in order to improve the Embellishment bulk execution process.
  • Compile a weekly status report for development & bulk execution whilst, emailing the issues about the styles in progress and the solutions for same in order to generate a plant evaluation report for the management thereby, supporting the decision-making process
  • Assess resource requirements, provide information for the preparation of annual budgets and monitor/ control departmental overheads to ensure expenditure is within budget
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards such as: SOPs, compliance standards, health and safety and 6S in day-to-day activities whilst, leading lean initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting - Coordinate with internal departments and external parties and resolve day-to-day issues to ensure smooth operations in the embellishment print section thereby, facilitating achievement of planned targets
  • Administration- Overlook the administrative function of the department by carrying out the following activities to facilitate department operations which including approving and monitoring leave and absenteeism of team.
  • Systems and compliance and lean - Assist the implementation and maintenance of customer compliance and lean principles whilst, overlooking the following activities:
  • Process Improvements - Review internal processes, recommend/ implement and enhance same in coordination with other sections as appropriate in order to meet customer requirements and specifications thereby, adding value to the organizational procedures
  • Budgeting & Cost Control- Prepare the annual budgets of the Value Addition Division and review of budgets for their accuracy whilst, providing justifications for any variances in the current Year’s and next Year’s budget
  • Identify the actual monthly overheads with the budgeted figures of the printing/ other embellishments and analyses any exceptions that need to be evaluated for saving initiatives that could be taken by working closely with the Team whilst driving to achieve set targets.
  • Ensure that the chemical management standards are in place while adhering to MAS chemical management roadmap.
  • Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to while actively contribute towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization.
     

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field
  • 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Strong technical knowledge in Embellishment Printing & Embroidery
  • Knowledge of lean related practices and processes
  • Good Analytical & Communication skills
  • Good IT literacy skills
  • Leadership & Team Building
