Deputy General Manager - Manufacturing Operations MAS Active Embilipitiya

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to lead the core manufacturing value chain within the plant covering raw material in to finished goods out, taking responsibility for producing the required products, in the required quantity and quality, within the required timeframe at an optimal cost, consistently and sustainably, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive initiatives to maximize plant capacity through productivity improvements and waste reduction 
• Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and cascade the policy deployment process which results in the formulation of the Hoshin for the plant 
• Lead the manufacturing functions of the plant to drive operational strategies, goals, KPIs and sanction action plans to achieve same, whilst ensuring deliverables are met on time and as per desired outcome
• Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget for the plant, taking ownership of the capital expenditure and operational expenditure budgets for the manufacturing operations functions of the plant 
• Build the team to deliver business objectives of the manufacturing operations team (Attract, Train, Retain)
• Coach and groom resources within the team to perform and grow.
• Provide leadership to ensure agile systems, processes, skills and machinery to facilitate the changing requirements of the plant 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin/Industrial. Eng
• 3 – 5 year of experience in a leading role in a manufacturing function
