Scientist, Economist, Hydrographic Surveyor - National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA)
National Aquatic Resources Research & Development Agency (NARA) comes under the purview of the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources as the main national Institution charged with the responsibilities of carrying out and coordinating research, development, management and conservation activities on the subject of aquaculture.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacancy existing in the agency.
- One candidate can apply only one division.
Internal Applicants Qualifications
The Qualifications for the external applicants mentioned above have been fulfilled.
Age
Applicants must be at least 22 years old and not exceed 45 years of age.
It is important to note that these age limits do not apply to internal applicants.
Recruitment Procedure
Application will be called by newspaper advertisement as determined by the Governing Board of the institute and appointments will be made on the basis of results of a written examination and/ structured interview conducted by a
panel appointed by the appointing authority.
Written competitive examination
This will be an aptitude test to ascertain the aptitude of the candidate.

Other Qualifications
All applicants should be,
- Citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Of physical and mental fitness to efficiently perform the duties assigned to him/ her and to serve in any part of island.
- Of exemplary character
