Coconut Development Authority

The Coconut Development Authority (CDA) of Sri Lanka is the statutory apex organization established under the provisions of the Coconut Development Act No. 46 of 1971. It is responsible to work for the development of the coconut industry in Sri Lanka and functions under the Ministry of Plantation Industries. CDA functions are Imparting technical advice to those engaged in coconut cultivation and industry. Providing financial and other assistance for the expansion of area under coconut. Encouraging adoption of modern technologies for processing of coconut and its products.
