Internal Auditor - Sri Lanka Medical Council Colombo

About Job:

The Sri Lanka Medical Council, established by the Medical Ordinance (Chapter 105) is the   regulatory body for medical, dental, and other healthcare professionals in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Medical Council will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Internal Auditor of the Sri Lanka Medical Council. The selected candidate would be a full-time officer of the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Accountancy / Commerce from a recognized university, along with intermediate-level qualification in a professional accounting body such as ICASL, CIMA, ACCA or ACMА. 
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of auditing would be an advantage.
• Computer Literacy and thorough knowledge of ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. 
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Good team spirit and impeccable work ethics. 

Skills:

• Implement the best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit statements. 
• Analyze the organization's existing policies, processes and procedures including internal controls
•  Report any weaknesses with recommendations of best practices to overcome such weaknesses 
• Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practices. 
• Conduct ad-hoc investigations for identified or reported risks 
• Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes
•  Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to the council. 

• Overall supervision of planned annual audits.

   

Contract Period: 

The appointment shall be on a full-time basis for a period of 03 years.

Salary: 

Negotiable.

Age: 

As per the conditions stipulated in the government circulars.
