Job Description

IFS Project Based Solution offers integrated project management software for managing complex enterprise project lifecycles. Companies that require managing complex project lifecycles are often forced to use separate software products to manage different stages of the project - tendering, commercial, estimating, engineering, procurement, manufacturing & fabrication, planning, cost control, construction, installation and commissioning. Our enterprise project management software capabilities unite these steps in a single integrated process, pulling data on real-time activities directly into a project plan. This provides complete oversight and control, allowing real-time management of costs, cash flow, time, resources, and risks. We offer a true project-based solution - in essence, an enterprise solution built around project management principles rather than repetitive processes.

We’re seeking open-minded and self-driven undergraduates in the areas of Projects Management/ Manufacturing/ Construction/ Finance to join our dynamic team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This entry-level role provides a valuable opportunity for aspiring domain specialists in the areas mentioned above to gain hands-on experience and kickstart their careers in the tech industry.

As a Trainee Product Specialist, your work will focus on interpreting and analyzing business requirements to help develop robust, enterprise-grade software.
We operate under a hybrid work model; however, candidates must be prepared to work from our Colombo 09 office when required.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications under the guidance of senior Product Specialists.
• Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional design, testing, documentation, and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and help design effective solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in software development.
• Support the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  
   

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Projects Management/ Manufacturing/ Construction/ Finance or a related professional qualification.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and work collaboratively.
• A proactive mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.
   

Comfortable working in a globally distributed team environment.
