Executive - Bonding - MAS Bodyline Horana

The company has evolved from making simple, minimalist styles for a single customer to multiple styles and silhouettes across product categories for global brands.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to provide cost-effective, feasible and consistent bonding solutions to the innovation, development and integration processes using the adhesive method and machine selection, along with suitable parameter setting and validate it throughout the processes to ensure the achievement of predefined customer standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Define processes, adhesive, method, testing protocols, machine & their parameters to produce proto samples and perform required testing to verify the suitability of the proposed combination of adhesive, machine and method for the relevant application/ material combination.
• Dealing with suppliers & customers to get the correct & feasible requirements for developing products and installing bonding-related development standards in production at salesmen/ test orders & bulk production.
• Check the feasibility of the styles received through integration channels for feasibility and implementation at production (Bonding, Ultrasonic).
• Check colour-wise behaviours prior to the production
• Responsible for conducting research on new technologies, methods & machinery which are related to bonding and ultrasonic to find their applicability to our production process to add value in terms of time saving, cost effectiveness, improved capability, improved quality and processing.
• Arranging required Infrastructure support for R&D technicians working on the bonding process.
• Supervision of all R&D projects related to bonding.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS  

• Degree in Apparel or Textile, Mechanical & Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 1 - 2 years of experience covering product development, bonding process and production process.
