Technical Mate – Ceylon Electricity Board

Applications are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka having the following qualifications and experience in the power sector or other industrial construction projects.

Duties:

• The incumbent should provide relevant technical inputs for the civil works of construction of Mannar Wind Power Project Phase-Ill.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Shall have six (6) Passes in G.C.E.(0/L) Examination including mathematics and mother language in a single attempt or shall have National Vocational Qualification.
• Level 3 (NVQ-3) or above certification in civil, electrical or mechanical fields such as;

National Certificate - Electrician (household/industrial), National Certificate -

Electric Motor Winder, National Certificate - Pneumatic Technician, National Certificate - Electronic Appliances Technician etc.

• The above  qualifications shall  be obtained through  an affiliated  institute under the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Training.
• Age should be between 18 - 25 years.
• Should be able to work in English and Sinhala or/and Tamil. Ability to work & communicate in Tamil language will be an added qualification.
• Preference will be given to applicants residing in Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam Districts or Northern Province/ possessing National Vocational Qualification Level 4 (NVQ-4) as above. 

Salary Scale:

• Technical Mate - ENS - initial Salary Step of Junior Technical Mate, CEB Salary Structure.

Method of selection:

• by an interview.

Terms and Conditions of Service:

• The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of 02 years.
• The work place is in Northern Province.
• Candidates should be able to work at the project site in Northern Province for extended hours.
