Merchandiser - Operations - MAS Bodyline Horana

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to identify the customer need/requirement to define the entire list of activities which needed to fulfil the customer expectation with specific timelines and accurate communication by providing information across internal and external teams in order to align the activities and to deliver results through continuous monitoring 

and follow-ups for the company to achieve its objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the fit and pattern blocks to be used and fill the DMQ with a pattern and product perspective.
• Maintain budget RMC, Embellishment and Material Percentage to the assigned target. Work with the Garment technical, Consumption team continuous basis and adjust the workings accordingly.
• Help improve Chassis alignment at the loading stage for the JV by reducing the number of chassis and standardising operations while maintaining toolbox adherence of 80% for all internal development.
• Ensure pattern issuance target per the month, on time performance and the pattern accuracy expectations are met and stick to the target set by the management.
• Identify the correct fit & construction requirement of a style & develop patterns, arrange the style file, follow up on the sample progress with the garment tech and send the samples to the customer with proper review. Work with the development merchandising team to ensure meeting style calendar dates & customer communication.
• Liaise with production teams to transfer the product development knowledge into production in an effective manner in order to ensure optimum production performance.
• Ensure the product risks are thoroughly evaluated with the Garment technologist team and proper actions are documented and drive to mitigate the risk.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Degree in Business Management / Marketing /Textile and Apparel.
• 1-2 years’ experience in development merchandising.
• Knowledge on apparel manufacturing.
• Negotiation & presentation skills.
