Manager - Finance - Financial Accounting (Nawala)

In this role you will be responsible to oversee the Finance function of the organization, guide the team in performing their duties, address any related issues so as to ensure all financial transactions or processes are as per group standards and comply to regulatory requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

-Manage all matters relating to annual returns, other statutory requirements and ensure adherence in a timely manner in line with the compliance requirements
-Prepare ad-hoc reports, presentations when required by various stakeholder highlighting variances, forward monthly reports to related parties in a timely manner, undertake corrective and preventive measures to aid the senior management team in taking necessary action to minimize wastage and cost
-Coordinate with financial institutions for funding facilities, manage cash flow and ensure efficient flow of working capital in order to facilitate the availability of adequate financial resources for operations
-Manage inter-company transactions, oversee payment, credit control & debtors collection process and follow-up in the resolution of any related issues so as to ensure timely collection of monies
-Develop & maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure required controls are in place to meet statutory and group requirements and standards
-Facilitate and manage the compliance requirements applicable to the company regarding income tax, indirect taxes and transfer pricing regulations.
-Manage the payroll for allotted employee grade, process the payroll, audit the payroll function and ensure accuracy thereby facilitating the timely payment of salaries and wages of employees
-Demonstrate effective people management skills, so as to motivate the team, identify performance gaps, develop skills and focus on career progression and succession planning to meet current and future challenges


Knowledge and skills:

-Degree in Finance Management
-Qualified in CIMA, CA and ACCA
-5+ years corporate experience
-Understanding of working capital and cash flow management
-Experience in treasury function
