Project Director – Ministry of Defense Colombo

Applications are invited from Sri Lankan citizens for the position of Project Director under the Reduction of Landslide Vulnerability by Mitigation Measures Project (RLVMMP) funded by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL), with a project value of US$ 101.3 million. 1'he Ministry of Defense acts as the executing agency, with the National Building Research Organization (NBRO), under the Ministry of Defense, serving as the implementing agency. The project aims to mitigate landslide risks at 128 identified locations ac1·oss the districts of Badulla, Kandy, Matale, Kegalle, Ratnapura, Nuwara Eliya, Kalutara, Colo111bo, Matara, and I<urLu1egala., as well as unstable areas along railway tracks. Phase I successfully mitigated critical landslide-prone sites, and Phase II is now addressing the remaining sites.

  Main Job Responsibilities

• The position of the Project Director will be a full-time position 011 a contractual basis and the tenure will be co-terminus with the project encl date (including three months Probationary Period). The applicant must be under the age of 64 as of the application date.

1. A successfully completed Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission, or a qualification  recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the Degree in the 1·elevant field, or an  Associate membership/ a similar professional qualification obtained from a  recognized  professional institution in the relevant field, and at  least  14  years  post qualifying experience at Managerial Level out of which 07 years should be at the Senior Managerial Level.
    

2. A successfully completed Bachelor's Degree in the relevant  field,  which  is recognized by the University Grants Commission, or a qualification  recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent Qualification to the Degree in the relevant field, or an associate membership/ a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant field, and Corporate/ Chartered 1ne1nbership or a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional Institution in the relevant field, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field ,with, at least 12 years post qualifying experience at Managerial level out of which 06 years should be in the  senior Managerial Level.

A successfully completed Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field, which is recognized by the University Grants Commission, or a qualification Recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent Qualification to the Degree in the relevant field, and a Postgraduate Degree in the relevant field with, Corporate / Chartered membership or a similar  professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional Institution in the relevant field with, at least 10 years post qualifying experience at Managerial Level out of which 05 years should be at the Senior Managerial Level.
