About the Company:

The IT Manager for Development Projects will lead and oversee the execution of critical IT initiatives across the company’s poultry operations. The role involves managing cross-functional technology projects, including ERP systems, automation tools, and digital infrastructure, with a strong focus on Sage 300 implementation and optimisation. The successful candidate will evaluate current technology and programs, and then provide and implement solutions for new systems to enhance operations and productivity. This position requires experience in managing IT projects in fast-paced environments like agriculture, food production, or manufacturing.

About the Role:

The IT Manager for Development Projects will lead and oversee the execution of critical IT initiatives across the company’s poultry operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in the poultry, agriculture, or manufacturing sector.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 is required (implementation, customisation, integration).

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead the end-to-end management of IT projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery.
• Define and document project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with company goals.
• Oversee the successful implementation, customization, and support of Sage 300 ERP across finance, inventory, procurement, and production departments.
• Keep up to date on the latest applications of information technology.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with department heads (production, supply chain, finance, HR) to gather user requirements and manage expectations.
• Ensure effective communication between IT and non-technical stakeholders.

Technology Implementation:

• Drive digital transformation through projects involving ERP systems, farm management software, IT technologies, and reporting dashboards.
• Lead system integration involving Sage 300, warehouse management, payroll, and other operational tools.

Monitoring and Risk Management:

• Proactively manage project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Track and report on project performance, budget utilisation, and milestone achievements.

Team Leadership:

• Direct internal teams and third-party vendors/consultants involved in project delivery.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices in IT project governance.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in managing ERP projects, including Sage 300 financials, inventory, procurement, and production modules.
• Experience with project tracking tools.
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
