Senior Executive - Garment Technologist - MAS Kreeda Biyagama

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to understand customer design intent, market trends, consumer perceptions, and convert/innovate them into a product by integrating/seeking the technical knowledge and resources, with the ultimate objective of creating a final product which would be valued by the end customer. Furthermore, to ultimately ensure timely resolving of all technical issues encountered during the ideation/brainstorming session pertaining to a portfolio of customers. Available to address all technical issues detected during integration at external manufacturing units and manage the workflow tracker.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working together with Design Engineers, Designers, and Pattern makers ensures that all garments/concepts are fitted to confirm that customer requirements have been adhered to, and the sample review checklist is completed, and (Tech-pack is distributed to all parties under the Engineered Knit (Seamless) Department.
• Keep central Industrial Engineering/Engineering teams updated on any construction changes or folder requirement construction difficulties that necessitate changes.
• Understand current trends and get involved with future needs/requirements, maintain better communication and build better PR for long-term business.
• Project management. 
• Coordinate with external parties (suppliers and customers).
• Integration of Development.
• Coordinating with other experts, both internal and external.
• Maintain continuous communication with the customers in order to understand their requirements. 
• Discuss the shortcomings of the prototypes and fit rounds and negotiate on further developments while agreeing upon testing methods, material selection, fit validation and material consumption.
• Cautiously maintain the communication line with the Customers in order to get the supplier's commitment and make him a part of the development process. 
• Build partnerships with the Suppliers on material development and technology improvement to meet and exceed Customer requirements.
• Liaise with the internal development teams in integrating the Customer specifications into the garment
• Ensuring that fit is as per customer requirements.
• Fit-related communication with the Buyer, Pattern Technologist and Technical Design.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree or Diploma in a relevant field, Certificate in pattern making or relevant qualification (BSc Engineering / NDT or equivalent qualification)
• 4-5 years of relevant work Experience (Experience in pattern making would be advantageous)
• Analytical skills.
• Coordination skills.
• Better knowledge on Pattern making & pattern making software (Gerber/Style Cad).
• Knowledge in Digital Apparel creation (Adobe Illustrator, V-Stitcher, CLO 3D).
• Knowledge in garment construction and sewing, bonding machines.
