IT Operations Assistant

The position holder will be expected to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of network infrastructure to meet the organization's business objectives and technology requirements.

Job Profile

-Assist in setting up and maintaining basic network hardware and software under supervision.
-Provide first-level support to end-users for network connectivity and IT hardware/software issues.
-Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
-Help maintain network documentation, including device configurations and connection diagrams.
-Collaborate with senior IT staff to address technical issues and implement solutions.
-Learn and support the implementation of network security practices to protect company data.

The ideal candidate:

-Posses a Diploma, HND or Degree in Information Technology. Undergraduates will also be considered.
-One year experience in an IT support or networking role.
-Have a basic understanding of networked systems (E.g., Routers, switches, and wireless devices) and willingness to learn advanced technologies.
-Familiar with LAN / WAN concepts and network protocols (E.g., TCP/ IP, DNS, DHCP).
-Have the eagerness for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and network issues with guidance.
-Ability to work additional hours as required.
