Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to assist in the coordination of all legal matters, documentation, and legal compliance of the MAS group in Sri Lanka and its overseas locations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist and coordinate the drafting of all legal documentation required for new projects in consultation with Group Legal and SBU so as to ensure quality documentation and legal protection for Noyon Lanka.
- To coordinate all work related to the incorporation of new companies (local and overseas) so as to facilitate the setting up of the same.
- Coordinate with lawyers and company secretaries in order to ensure legal documentation for the incorporation of companies, application for Board of Investment (BOI) approvals etc. are in order.
- Add value to the opinions provided by external lawyers and make recommendations in order to ensure the investments are aligned with the mission and vision of the SBU and bring the best benefits to the organization.
- Attend legal and other queries raised by Noyon Lanka Shareholders and Executive Committee and provide assistance and quality opinions/solutions for legal matters in consultation with the superior and Group Legal Team.
- Actively assist in establishing good corporate governance practices for the SBU, by coordinating and following through with stakeholders and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the group legal team.
- To assist and coordinate tasks related to implementing the GDPR (General Data Protection Requirements) of the European Union by liaising with the group legal team and internal stakeholders.
Ensure that the environment, safety and health standards of the organization are adhered to while actively contributing towards promoting a culture of safety and environmental consciousness within and outside the organization.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Relevant Educational Degree & Professional Qualification (Legal Background) 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar work environment desirable.
- Capable of analyzing and thinking conceptually
- Experience in company secretarial work and drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Knowledge of corporate laws preferred.
- Good interpersonal relationship skills.
