Lecturer (Probationary)-Department of Marine Engineering - Ocean University of Sri Lanka 

The Ocean University of Sri Lanka is entrusted with the responsibility of catering to the manpower needs in the Fisheries, Marine, and Maritime sectors of Sri Lanka. 

The Ocean University of Sri Lanka will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the following posts 

Areas of Expertise:

• B. Sc. (Hons) Eng. in Marine Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering/Production Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering. 

• Those qualified in Mechanical Engineering should be able to teach the following modules, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Materials, Fluids Machinery and Hydraulics, Mechanic of Machines, Control Systems, Machine Design and Projects, Workshop Technology and CAD/CAM, and Engineering Design.

Salary Scale:

• Rs.54,600 – 10 X 1,335– 67,950 p.m. [U-AC 3 (IV)] 
• Academic Allowance of 144% of salary will be paid.

In addition to the above salary, cost of living allowance, and other government-approved allowances will be paid to the selected candidate/s.

Age Limit:

• Retired applicants are highly encouraged.

The envelope containing the duly filled application form must bear the name of the post applied for and the name of the Department on its top left-hand corner and it can be either hand-delivered or sent under registered post to reach the Assistant Registrar, Human Resource Development, Ocean University of Sri Lanka No 51. Pannananda Mawatha, Mattakkuliya, Colombo 15. on or before 17 th February 2025. 

Applicants from the University System/Government Departments/Corporations and Statutory Boards should channel their applications with the recommendation of the Heads of the respective Institutions. 

Applications received after the closing date and incomplete applications and applications not submitted in the prescribed format of the Ocean University of Sri Lanka will be rejected without intimation. The University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates.
