Right to Information Commission
The Right to Information Act was introduced to the 1978 Constitution by the 19th Amendment in 2015. Hence Freedom of expression, including freedom of the press had been assured before. A "Right to Information Commission" is an independent statutory body established under a Right to Information Act, primarily responsible for upholding citizens' right to access information from public authorities, monitoring compliance with the act, and adjudicating appeals when information requests are denied, thereby promoting transparency and good governance within the government.
