The Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure in Sri Lanka is responsible for the development of the plantation sector and community infrastructure. The ministry's work includes promoting sustainable plantation development, increasing exports, and improving the living standards of smallholder plantation owners. 

The National Institute of Plantation Management is under the purview of the Ministry of Plantations Industries which is the professional body of Government of Sri Lanka, established in 1979 by NIPM Act.
