Colombo Municipal Council
The Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) is the largest local authority in Sri Lanka, responsible for governing the country's capital and largest city. Established in 1865, its responsibilities include public health, waste management, road maintenance, environmental development, street lighting, and water and drainage services. It is also the legislative body for the city and serves as a link between citizens and the municipal government.
