Our team is looking for a Trainee who matches the following job role:
-Actively support and coordinate interdepartmental operations to enhance overall business efficiency on a daily basis.
-Build and maintain reports, ensure data accuracy, develop forecasts and models, and provide insights for informed strategic decision-making.
-Assign numerical values to essential business functions to assess and compare business performance over time.
-Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify trends, conduct root cause analyses, and generate impactful ad-hoc reports.
-Collaborate with business units to recommend and implement effective strategies and policies for business improvement.
-Support the implementation of new systems and process improvements, including assisting the team in understanding ROI on projects and impact.
-Understand department and business structures and be the main form of contact for support related to operations.
-Implement operational enhancements by developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize process efficiency and support business strategy.
-Solve complex problems and bring out insights while maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.
-Work on financial assistance programs provided to sellers, ensuring operational tasks are completed by communicating with stakeholders and understanding financial concepts.
-Develop and implement credit management and communication plans, including content writing and marketing solutions, aligned with product developments for better credit models.
-Manage risks associated with providing loans and streamline financial processes while maintaining liquidity.
-Oversee customer relationship management with merchants seeking financial services, emphasizing acquisition strategies and effective resolution of seller inquiries to ensure seamless loan processing. Identify merchant needs and propose strategic business improvements.
-Analyze local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry.
Ideal Candidate Profile and Candidate Requirements:
-Completed or following a Bachelors in Finance/Accounting /Computer Science/Business Management/Information & Technology from any reputed University or any equivalent qualification in CIM/SLIM.
-Exceptional numerical, statistical, and analytical reasoning skills are essential.
-Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, financial modeling, and process automations would be an added advantage.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (proficiency in Sinhala and Tamil being an added advantage), with the ability to successfully negotiate with different stakeholders across various businesses.
-Go-getter attitude, willing to immerse themselves in the business, with a proactive approach to getting things done - results-oriented, detail-oriented and self-driven.
-Superior organizational skills to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines and the flexibility to adapt to changing scope with high motivation and a drive to excel in all assigned tasks.
-Flexible in the set of technologies used and interested in proactively learning new skills in both technical and business parts of the job.
-Technical and commercial savviness, understanding the mechanics of what makes a business grow.
-Work with minimal direction beforehand and are strong in structuring approaches towards problem resolution.
