Responsibilities:
IT Systems Management:
· Oversee the overall management and operation of our IT systems, including hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications infrastructure.
· Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems to meet the needs of the organization.
· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary upgrades and enhancements to optimize system efficiency.
Equipment Inventory Management:
· Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT equipment, including computers, servers, networking devices, and peripherals.
· Coordinate procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and budgetary guidelines.
· Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records, identify discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
Cybersecurity:
· Establish and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies, procedures, and practices to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data and systems.
· Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and weaknesses and develop strategies to mitigate them.
· Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices, and continuously evaluate and enhance the organization's security posture.
IT Support and User Assistance:
· Provide technical support and guidance to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring timely resolution of IT-related queries.
· Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure smooth integration and functionality of IT systems across the organization.
Project Management:
· Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and infrastructure enhancements.
· Develop project plans, set realistic timelines, allocate resources, and track project progress to ensure successful and timely completion.
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
· Candidates must be residing in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
· Ownership of a bike for commuting purposes is essential.
· Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
· Proficiency in implementing and managing security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and encryption protocols.
· Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in IT management and cybersecurity
