The Life Saving Association of Sri Lanka is the controlling body for Life Saving in Sri Lanka, affiliated to The International Life Saving Federation (ILS), Surf Life Saving Victoria, Australia (SLSA) and Commonwealth Life Saving (Royal LS-UK), also is an approved charity and registered as a national body with the sports ministry. Our main objective is to reduce drowning and water related accidents. Up to date our recorded rescues mark more than 5000 lives saved since 1947. We have a proud record of training nearly one million members of public including school children, armed forces and police force, all free of charge.
